    These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Services provided by SudoCollege AI, Inc. (or its affiliates) ("SudoCollege", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

    If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

    1. The Services

    SudoCollege provides an AI-assisted college planning platform, including tools such as school discovery/selection, admissions-likelihood estimation, essay feedback, deadline planning, and related features. Some features may be in beta or mock form and may change over time.

    2. Eligibility and Accounts

    • Age. The Services are not intended for children under 13 without verified parental/guardian consent. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent/guardian to use the Services.
    • Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
    • Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information reasonably up to date.

    3. User Content

    "User Content" includes information and materials you submit through the Services (for example, essays, documents, and profile inputs).

    • You retain ownership of your User Content.
    • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, transmit, display, and process your User Content only as needed to provide and improve the Services.
    • You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

    4. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
    • Upload malware, attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization, or interfere with the Services' normal operation.
    • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Services (including models, prompts, or content) except as permitted by law.
    • Use automated means to access the Services in a manner that could degrade performance or bypass rate limits.
    • Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.

    5. AI Outputs; No Admission Guarantee; Educational Disclaimer

    • Informational only. Outputs are generated based on the information you provide and publicly available institutional information. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
    • No guarantee. We do not guarantee admission outcomes, scholarship outcomes, or any particular result.
    • Not professional advice. The Services do not provide legal advice. They also do not replace professional counseling, school advising, or mental health support.
    • You are responsible for decisions you make based on the Services.

    5A. Academic Integrity (No Ghostwriting)

    SudoCollege is intended to support learning and planning. The Services are provided for assistance, feedback, and suggestions—not to produce final submissions that violate school, counselor, or college admissions policies.

    • No ghostwriting: You may not use the Services to submit AI-generated or third-party-generated materials as your own where a policy requires original work.
    • User responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Services complies with the rules of your school, testing agencies, and any college/university admissions requirements.
    • Prohibited conduct: Requests for deception, impersonation, or bypassing integrity policies may be refused, and we may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse.

    6. Paid Plans, Credits, and Subscriptions (If Offered)

    We may offer paid features, including credits and subscriptions. If you purchase paid features:

    • Payment processing is handled by third-party providers; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
    • Credits are non-refundable except where required by law, may expire if disclosed at purchase, and may not be transferred or resold.
    • Subscriptions, if offered, renew automatically until canceled, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
    • Prices, plan terms, and included features may change; we will provide notice as required by law or reasonably practicable.

    7. Privacy

    Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect and use information. By using the Services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Notice.

    8. Intellectual Property

    We and our licensors own the Services, including software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks, excluding User Content.

    We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use (unless we expressly agree otherwise).

    9. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe suspension is necessary to protect the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time. Certain provisions (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

    10. Disclaimers

    THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

    11. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.

    12. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SudoCollege and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.

    13. Governing Law and Disputes

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, excluding its conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

    14. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date, and where changes are material we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
